Turn your reputation into revenue by mastering the art of personal branding, standing out in a crowded market, and creating lasting influence. Do you feel called to share your story, inspire others and make a greater impact in the world? If so, you are what we call a “Mission-Driven Messenger.” The challenge however is that we live in a world that’s saturated with information and chock-full of “influencers,” making it nearly impossible to stand out from the crowd. Everyone from students to CEOs are scrambling for likes, views, followers, and the ever-elusive “viral breakthrough.” The painful truth is that instead of changing the world, it’s easy to become a “best kept secret” who is overlooked and overshadowed by people who don’t have nearly as much credibility as you have but who gain more attention simply because they are better at marketing. It’s time to change that. In Wealthy and Well-Known, industry-leading personal brand strategists Rory and AJ Vaden open the expert playbook they’ve used to help thousands of America’s most trusted voices and top personalities expand their reach and grow their revenues by implementing a system that has laser focus. Their proven data-driven method will help you:

  • Understand what a personal brand really is (and what it’s not).
  • Examine why most personal brand efforts fail and why perhaps you haven’t yet “broken through.”
  • Discover your calling and turn it into a clear and unique brand positioning in the market.
  • Align your passion with a business model that can generate massive personal profits.
  • Develop a winning message that solves your audience’s biggest problems.
  • Create truly original and compelling thought leadership.
  • Turn your expertise into a digital machine that drives unlimited warm leads into your business 24/7.
  • Craft marketing materials that generate more opportunities for you by positioning you as the “go-to” source.
  • Generate more money from fewer followers.

If you are an expert, entrepreneur, executive, or professional who is ready to live a life of service while turning your reputation into revenue, you are in the right place. It’s time for you to learn the secrets of becoming Wealthy and Well-Known.

From the bestselling author of Team of Teams and My Share of the Task, reflections on character and who we choose to be.

“Reputation is what men and women think of us; character is what God and angels know of us.” —Thomas Paine

How to measure a life? After a career of service, retired four-star general Stanley McChrystal had much to contemplate. He pondered his successes and failures, his beliefs and aspirations, and asked himself, Who am I, really? And, more importantly, who have I become? When I die, how will I be measured?

In the end, McChrystal came to a conclusion as simple as it was profound: The reality of who we are cannot be recorded in dates or accomplishments. It is found in our character—the most accurate and last full measure of who we choose to be.

On Character offers McChrystal’s blueprint for living with purpose and integrity, challenging us to examine not just our deeds but who we become through them. Drawing from a lifetime of experience, he distills profound insights on setting and meeting standards and aligning actions with beliefs and offers practical advice on overcoming obstacles and pursuing self-improvement.

According to McChrystal, character is not a trait inherited at birth, nor does it automatically come from education, position, or experience. Character, instead, comes down to a succession of choices, most mundane, several momentous, that reveal the deep truth of our capacity for virtue.

In an era where understanding and upholding our ideals is more crucial than ever, On Character offers an inspiring road map for personal growth and integrity—a call to become our best selves, both as individuals and as Americans.

The ultimate guide to mental toughness by James “Iron Cowboy” Lawrence—the greatest endurance athlete in human history.

Lawrence’s accomplishments are nearly impossible to comprehend. After breaking two Guinness World Records, he shattered possibilities in 2015 by completing 50 full-distance triathlons in 50 states in 50 consecutive days. Yes, The Ironman®, “the single most difficult day in sports”—a 2.4-mile swim, 112 miles on a bike, then a 26.2-mile run, all completed in under 17 hours. It is a race so intense that less than .01% of the population have completed one.

Afterward, Lawrence subjected his body to exhaustive physical testing, to every genetic test known to science. The stunning discovery is that physically, Lawrence is unspecial in every way.

The secret to his bulletproof body is his bulletproof mentality. Even those accomplishments weren’t enough for Lawrence. In 2021, he set out on another endurance endeavor, this one so difficult he wondered if he would even live. He set out to complete a staggering 100 full-distance triathlons in 100 consecutive days. By persevering, he wanted to inspire people to do the same for whatever difficulties they are going through.

How does a person develop the mental fortitude necessary to overcome incredible exhaustion, immeasurable suffering, and unfathomable pain in order to achieve impossible goals? With Iron Hope, that’s exactly what James “Iron Cowboy” Lawrence shows readers how to do. Lawrence explains how readers can forge an iron will by making and keeping small promises to themselves again and again, amassing experience and building momentum until giving up becomes impossible.

Combine a big dream with small improvements repeated with great consistency and make your goals and dreams a reality.

Bestselling author and transformational speaker Ryan Leak shares research-based strategies for working with even the most challenging people to create more collaborative and productive teams.

Who is the most complicated person you work with? You probably don’t have to think very hard to answer that question. You already know their name, their job title, their quirks, and their flaws. You have firsthand experience with the mental and emotional fallout they leave in their wake. You’ve seen the problems their complexity creates for everyone on their team. You wish you could fix them, solve them, ignore them, or teleport them to a parallel dimension. But you can’t. You have to work with them. (You could quit, but your next job will have a complicated person waiting for you.)

That means you need effective strategies to collaborate with (nearly) anyone. Especially the picky, prickly, problematic ones. Drawing from his global consulting experience with teams and leaders from the glitz of sports and entertainment, to the number-crunching world of finance, to the meticulous realms of insurance, pharma, and manufacturing, Ryan Leak provides proven strategies for…

  • Seeing challenging individuals as human beings to understand rather than problems to solve
  • Detoxing unrealistic expectations and getting comfortable with complicated
  • Learning to communicate effectively in complex environments
  • Embracing healthy disagreement as a tool to discover better solutions
  • Setting boundaries that let people into your world without letting them run your world

“The process of learning to collaborate with difficult individuals is transformative—it’s a gateway to greater creativity, stronger teams, and increased productivity,” Leak explains. “On the other side of complicated is the wonderful, wide-open world of effective collaboration and a workplace you love.”

The broken rung: a phenomenon even more pervasive than the glass ceiling in holding women back from career success. This book explains it and gives you strategies for how to overcome it and fulfill your potential.

Women around the world do extremely well when it comes to their education. They graduate at higher rates than men do and have higher average GPAs. But then a strange thing happens: Upon entering the workforce, they immediately lose their advantage. When the first promotions come around, the slide continues–for every 100 men who are promoted to manager, only 87 women and 73 women of color get promoted.

This is what McKinsey senior partners Kweilin Ellingrud, Lareina Yee, and María del Mar Martínez call “the broken rung,” and its effects compound throughout women’s careers, causing women to fall behind at the start and keeping them from catching up.

In this groundbreaking book, the authors reveal the problem’s underlying cause: while about half of a person’s lifetime earnings come from education and half from experience, men get more value from their experience than women do. As the authors show, it is also here, in one’s experience, that the solution lies: How can women build their “experience capital” to level the playing field and maximize their earning potential?

Based on over a decade of research, conversations with more than 50 remarkable leaders, and their own experiences as senior partners and as the first three consecutive chief diversity and inclusion officers for McKinsey, the authors weave data on the potential pitfalls across a career with inspiring and instructive stories of women who have climbed over the broken rung by using strategies that increased their experience capital.

Leaders and companies must do more to address structural gender inequalities in the workplace–but you don’t have to wait. The Broken Rung is your guide, right now, for moving up the corporate ladder and reaching your full potential at work.

Drawing from over three decades of experience, former CEO of AT&T Business Anne Chow shares how to lead bigger by leveraging inclusion beyond DEI, to elevate your work, workforce, and workplace.

For generations, when we’ve needed to innovate and grow, we’ve been told to “think bigger”–it’s now time to Lead Bigger. In a world that’s become more interconnected yet polarized, inclusion has been overly politicized and narrowly defined to issues of gender and race. As a result, we need a new approach to inclusive leadership that goes beyond DEI, harnessing its power for innovation and growth.

In Lead Bigger, Anne Chow reframes inclusion as the required leadership competency of expanding our perspectives for greater performance in our work, workforce, and workplace. As former CEO of AT&T Business, she was the first woman of color to hold the position of CEO in the company’s over 140-year history.

Chow draws from her expertise in transforming organizations to teach you how to create a dynamic environment that engages everyone you and your company interact with–as well as those you wish to be connected to–while adapting to the ever-changing world.

This book equips you with the necessary tools to expand your inclusive leadership skills, including prompts, tactics, and enriching insights from leadership visionaries General Stanley McChrystal, Arianna Huffington, and Adam Grant.

Chow illuminates a seismic shift in the business world, in which a more humanistic approach is required as technology upends work as we know it. If you’re committed to advancing work that matters, engaging a dynamic workforce, and fostering an agile workplace, you’re ready to Lead Bigger.
